The Boss EQ-200 isn’t just your average graphic EQ pedal. Learn how to take full advantage of its routing modes in this deep dive.
At first sight, the Boss EQ-200 is a stereo Graphic EQ. Under the covers, it gives you the possibility of routing the two EQ channels in either parallel or series. You can also unlink the channel controls for ultimate flexibility. Add 128 memory locations and MIDI control, as well as footswitch programmability, and it’s a lot of pedal in a compact size.
Place it at the end of your stereo chain for ultimate tone control; or insert Channel A before your amp for a boost, and Channel B in the FX loop for after-the-fact tone control. The choice is yours.
