Got Strat? Need bigger sound? Watch this. Then go find yourself a Joyo R-02 Taichi.
The Taichi is inspired by the famous D-style amps – yeah, the ones that go for mega-bucks – but with a surprisingly low price tag. The build quality is really good, with a switch action that feels really lovely, and even though looks are subjective, it is certainly an eye catcher, especially with the edge lighting turned on.
Oh, the sound? As you’d expect: compressed, smooth sustain overdrive that can make your Strat sound a lot bigger and sing for days.
